CAPPA offers an annual tradeshow, CAPPA EXPO, free to all distributors. The nation's leading suppliers exhibit at our show every year. CAPPA also offers networking opportunities at a number of other functions during the show, such as our annual golf tournament and awards banquet.CAPPA offers educational seminars, meetings and supplier table top presentations.
CAPPA offers its members a VOICE within the association and the industry. You may serve on the association Board, vote on issues affecting you locally or voice your ideas / concerns through the RAC (Regional Association Council). CAPPA is an active member of RAC, and each Regional Assocation has a vote on issues at the national level.
Most importantly, CAPPA offers a chance to grow and explore a wide range of ideas, information, and alternatives with other industry professionals.
The Association got its start as CASA (Corridor Advertising Specialty Association) back in 1985 with about 10-12 charter members. They recognized the need to build professional relationships between distributors and suppliers, but on a more personal level. Many members agree that the greatest benefits are derived from cordial contacts with their fellow members in the industry. In addition, the meetings allow us a forum to exchange ideas that can help build our businesses. It is important to note that many of the charter members are still involved and play an active role in the Association today. They know NOW what they knew then, “Membership has its Privileges”.
In 1995-1996, the name of our Regional Association was changed to CAPPA (Corridor Area Promotional Products Association). At the time, there was a definite trend within the Industry to try and improve itself as a whole. While there had always been a strong emphasis on education, that became a central focus of our Association. Our motto became “Building on Experience with Education”.
